A Journey Built on People: Mohr Partners Chennai Marks Three Years and a New Chapter

When Mohr Partners opened its Chennai office on March 20, 2023, the team consisted of three people and a clear sense of direction.

There was trust from day one. Not just in the work, but in the people who would build it.

That trust, especially from Chief Financial Officer and Head of Lease Administration Sohail Hamirani, shaped the Chennai team’s growth. It created space for ownership, for accountability, and for doing things the right way, even when the team was small.

What followed was steady, consistent progress. The team grew to 11 people, working out of a compact office designed for 15. It wasn’t about scale at that stage. It was about getting the foundation right.

And that foundation held.

Over time, the Chennai office expanded to a 90-member team, each phase of growth adding capability without losing the culture that was built early on. The work matured. The responsibility increased. And the team continued to evolve with it.

Each year, that journey was strengthened beyond the office as teams came together in Mumbai, Delhi, and Kochi under the theme “Unlocking the Power Within.” These were more than annual events; they created space to reconnect, exchange ideas, and reinforce a shared direction.

Now, three years in, Mohr Partners’ Chennai operations have entered their next phase with the inauguration of a new purpose-built office space housing approximately 100 full-time employees.

This workspace is different for a reason.

It has been built with the team at the center of every decision. From how the space flows to how people work within it, every detail reflects thought, intent, and care. It is not just an office designed to support operations; it is a space created for the people who make those operations possible every day.

That effort didn’t happen by chance. Mohr Partners’ Human Resources team, including Renu Bani, Abarna Jayachandran and senior manager Deepali Singh, took the lead of the project, creating a space designed around people, not just work.

The Chennai office today plays a critical role in supporting clients, bringing together expertise, consistency, and a strong operational backbone. Today, the Chennai team supports a growing portfolio of over 80 lease administration clients, reflecting the trust it has built over time. What started small has grown into a team that delivers with confidence, supports global requirements, and continues to build trust through the quality of its work.

“What began with just three people and no expectations has now grown into something we once only dreamed of,” Santhosh Jayaraman, Senior Manager of Lease Administration said. “Today, as we open our new office in Chennai with hundreds of people, I feel an overwhelming sense of happiness and pride.
