Erik Schwetje joined Mohr Partners as a Managing Partner in the Orlando, Florida office in December 2020. With 25 years of real estate experience, an MBA and a CCIM designation, Erik is a market leader with sales & leasing of commercial real estate properties topping over 1,000 completed transactions with a value of over $1.2 billion.
Erik began his career in real estate after graduating from The Citadel, where he attended on a football scholarship. While working for one of the largest commercial real estate firms in the world, Trammell Crow Company, Erik attended graduate school at night to earn his MBA from the Crummer Business School.
Most recently with EWS Advisors, a commercial real estate firm that he founded, the company earned recognition for superior customer service and contract negotiation results and was retained by Stansberry Research to offer insights and critical thinking on trends and opportunities in commercial real estate.
Prior to that, Erik worked for CBRE, where he was awarded L&B Advisor’s 950,000-square-foot portfolio and increased the occupancy of the asset from 54% to 100%. He also played a critical role in winning Morgan Stanley’s 535,000-square-foot portfolio and was able to increase the occupancy to 100% within 18 months, increasing the value and creating a huge win for the client upon their sale of the portfolio.
He has been recognized as a CoStar ‘Power Broker’ several times for being a top producer. Erik gives much of his free time to volunteering with the Ronald McDonald House Charities and Give Kids the World. He also serves as an usher, greeter and communion server for his church.
