Andrew Genova serves as a Managing Partner and Co-Market Leader for Mohr Partners, Inc., in its Washington, D.C. office. He brings more than 17 years of industry experience, primarily in tenant representation and occupier services.
In his new role, Andrew shares DMV market leadership responsibilities with Peter Berg, Mohr Partners’ longtime market leader for the region. Together, they support the firm’s occupier clients across the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia.
Andrew’s approach extends beyond transaction execution, as he helps corporate real estate leaders diagnose structural deal risk, hidden lease exposure, portfolio inefficiency and stakeholder misalignment before they become avoidable costs or lost flexibility. He connects individual real estate decisions to enterprise strategy, capital planning, operations and governance, giving portfolio teams and executives a clearer framework for evaluating tradeoffs and protecting long-term optionality.
Prior to joining Mohr Partners, Andrew served as Managing Director at Foundry Commercial, where he led the firm’s D.C., Maryland and Virginia office. Before Foundry, he led the occupier advisory business for Donohoe Real Estate Services and served as a Principal at Avison Young.
Over the course of his career, Andrew’s advisory, leasing, investment sales, consulting and portfolio management work has spanned more than 3 million square feet and more than $2 billion in value, with a practice built around nonprofit and institutional tenants, including healthcare systems and government contractors.
He approaches leases as financial and operating instruments, testing how economics, assignment rights, capital obligations and timing interact with the client’s broader business objectives. His work also includes multi-market portfolio strategy, M&A integration, lease administration and audit, location analytics, acquisitions, dispositions and complex restructurings.
Andrew earned his master’s degree in commercial real estate finance and development from Georgetown University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Birmingham-Southern College. He is a licensed real estate broker in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia.
